Registrar / High School Education

The Registrar to manage all stages of students’ records from enrollment through graduation. The right candidate is proficient at prioritizes tasks, enjoys working independently and works efficiently. This position reports to the VP of Finance in the Northbrook corporate office.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify, evaluate, and document students’ prior transcripts, as well entered into Management System
  • Review and interpret student information to ensure each student has an individual graduation plan that is compliant with Academy and state requirements
  • Ensure all students are set up properly in the Student Management System
  • Automate Student Progress Reports process for each campus with monthly checks
  • Maintain all proper documentation is located in each students’ electronic file at all stages
  • Complete all clerical functions of the department in an efficient and timely manner including; preparing documents and reports, as well as transfers, transcripts, and correspondence
  • Verify, evaluate and prepare external transcripts successfully upholding that all academic, state and corporate requirements are met prior to publishing
  • Collaborate with Campus Directors, VP of Finance and VP of Operations on student concerns including attendance, session count, and course completion
  • Partner with the Chief Academic Officer to ensure accuracy and compliance of all transcripts created and credits assigned
  • Audit campuses monthly to ensure student progress is being monitored and accurate
  • Keep up to date with changing graduation requirements by each state
  • Perform tasks and projects with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Three years Registrar experience with transcript experience
  • Knowledgeable to state laws and graduation requirements
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with constant interruptions, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude towards staff, students, parents, and community members
  • Proficient computer skills including the use of Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and the Internet
  • Ability to handle confidential matters professionally
