Instructional Assistant

Then, we may have a place for you on our team. We are an accredited, national academy dedicated to helping students become confident and successful learners. Due to rapid enrollment growth, our Sammamish campus is seeking an immediate part-time Instructor Assistant.

The right candidate will join our team of outstanding, passionate educators who believe in the teacher-student relationship and enjoys having variety in their work day. This essential team member guides students’ studies, upholds campus environment, substitutes in the classroom, and builds learning engagement with students.

Teacher Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and facilitate on-the-spot support for Homework Studio students
  • Maintain executive functioning systems for the Homework Studio
  • Maintain supervision of student homework logs, agendas, and late assignments
  • Ability to use students’ background, skills, proficiencies, and learning styles to support higher learning practices
  • Collaborate needs, goals and daily outcomes with the campus director
  • Manage campus pre-and post-assessment proctoring, scoring, recording, and reporting
  • Serve as the instructional facilitator for self-directed, independent courses
  • Lead campus culture by greeting entering guest when administrative roles aren’t available
  • Flexible to provide temporary classroom instruction when an urgency arises
  • Substitute classroom instruction for instructors’ personal days’ off

Instructional Assistant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university
  • Teacher certification and/or alternative learning experience with 6-12K
  • Drive to improve the minds and lives of students
  • Amazing flexibility and organizational skills
  • Model and guide self-directed learning skills
  • Positive approach to Campus Studios and student engagement creating a safe learning environment of mutual respect, high expectations, and professionalism
  • Demonstrates confidentiality and sensitivity policies
  • Ability to navigate Google Chrome apps and extensions  
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Perform Other duties as assigned
  • Available to work flexible hours including Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 6:00
  • Ability to commit long-term to build strong student relationships
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal laws
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
